Color-and-weave patterning for rigid-heddle and four-shaft looms

When thinking of summer celebration symbols, pinwheels and stars immediately come to mind.
On the rigid-heddle loom, a straight-draw four-shaft twill like the patterning in these color-and-weave drafts can be woven with two rigid heddles. Simply place every other warp end in a hole, alternating between the front and back heddles, and then assign the remaining warp ends either to a pick-up stick or to string heddles. If you prefer, you can weave both scarves on a four-shaft loom with a straight-draw threading. The pinwheels and stars have slightly different treadlings, but you can weave both on the same warp with only minor adjustments to the tie-up.
