Travel back to the 1970s with these groovy towels. Inspired by her grandmother's avocado green kitchen, designer Christine Jablonski's modern spin on a classic 70s color palette would feels playfully vintage and perfectly modern, all at the same time.

When picking the color palette for her towels, Christine thought back to the summer of 1973 and a memory of standing in her grandparents’ kitchen amidst avocado green Formica countertops and harvest gold flooring. With a vibrant, slightly asymmetrical threading, these towels can be woven with solid-color weft or wide stripes, or tromp-aswrit-ish for an allover pattern.
No two city streets are the same, and neither are these gorgeous color-and-weave towels.

You don't have to be a technical whiz to weave these circuit-board inspired towels! By combining a simple double heddle twill with color-and-weave, designer Michele Marshall created a design that looks complex but weaves up easily.

Unassuming and thirsty, Kerala towels are generally plain weave in white cotton with a few stripes or decorations to distinguish them. Waffle-weave versions spotted on a recent trip gave designer Anne Merrow the idea to weave a set of towels: one in traditional plain weave with clasped-weft accents, and the other with simple waffle-weave pick-up.
Take a trip to the Middle Ages without leaving your loom.
