Two-end knitting is, indeed, a fascinating technique with beautiful results that seems to predate color-pattern knitting in Sweden as a means to achieve extra strength and warmth in a garment.
The two yarns needed for two-end knitting can be the same color or different colors. The two strands are always worked alternately, and this method can be used to create color patterns or texture patterns. The first of the Practice Caps allows you to explore two-color patterns, while the second cap uses the same techniques to create bold texture in one color.
