White swatches
Yarn: DMC Traditions, 100% cotton, size 10, 400 yards (366 m)/2 ounces (54 gram), small amount (this thread is discontinued; substitute any size 10 or bedspread-weight crochet cotton)
Hook: Steel crochet hook, size 7 (1.65 mm)
Brown swatches
Yarn: Vreseis Limited Foxfibre, 100% natural brown cotton, size 10/2, 263 yards (240 m)/1 ounce (28 gram)
Hook: Steel crochet hook, size 8 (1.40 mm)
Gauge: Use a gauge that is comfortable for you.
Finished size: This will depend on your gauge and is not critical for a swatch.
