Three pin-loom joining techniques to add to your weaving toolbox.

Once you learn how to join pin-loom pieces in an aesthetically pleasing way, you can make table linens, scarves, shawls, hats, shirts, stuffed toys, and so much more. To help you on your pin-loom weaving journey, we’ve created this skill guide focused on three basic pin-loom joins.
There are many ways to join pieces, but the two most people learn first (and the two you see most often in Easy Weaving with Little Looms) are whipstitch and double overcast, so we have tutorials on these basic joins. A lesser-known (but just as easy) method is joining pin-loom pieces directly on the loom. With this technique, you can join one or more pre-woven pieces to a pin-loom piece as it’s being woven—it’s very cool!
All three of these techniques work well, and as you weave, you might find you prefer one method over another or have preferences based on application. Either way, I hope these techniques help you weave something wonderful!
