As a weaving mentor my constant refrain is, "You can't make assumptions about what will happen. You need to sample." I should follow my own advice. After setting the Block Island Blend too loose, I added in extra threads of 8/2 cotton. This made the towels more stable and let me add more pops of color. The towels turned out beautifully, but next time I’ll make sure to sample first.
