You may remember the song “Ladybugs’ Picnic” about 12 ladybugs that aired on Sesame Street in 1972 to teach counting to its little viewers. The lyrics were simple, but the tune was catchy. A friend of gardeners and farmers, these colorful beetles save crops by feeding on aphids. The 3/2 pearl cotton in Currant and Black provides the perfect color scheme and design scale, while spot weft and warp floats combined with Brooks bouquet lace borders make for placemats perfect for a ladybug picnic.
